Water & Sewer System

The Public Works Department maintains the extensive water and sewer system in the Village. 

• 2 main water plants
• 2 above ground storage tanks
• 2 ground storage tanks
• Water valves and fire hydrants
• Residential b-boxes and water meter reading

Important Sewer Backup Information:
If you are experiencing a sewer backup at your residence, please call the Public Works Department before contacting a plumbing contractor. We will come out as quickly as possible to check the Village sewer to determine if the problem is our responsibility or if indeed you will require a plumber. The number to call is 708-753-2400 during regular business hours (Monday - Friday, 9:00 am - 5:00 pm). Outside of these hours, please call the non-emergency police number at 708-753-2420.

We are on call for emergencies 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.
