Solicitation of Developer Qualifications and Request for Proposals was formatted by staff to seek qualified developers for the Halsted Plaza site.
January 4, 2016
Mayor Ronald J. Gardiner wrote a letter explaining the events leading up to the purchase of the plaza and projections moving forward. This letter was mailed out to all residents in the Village of Glenwood.

The Board of Trustees approved document for solicitation to developers.

Developer RFP/RFQ was mailed out to 19 different companies

This document was formatted by staff for qualifying contractors to demolish the former Bowling Alley, former Grocery Store and former Barley & Hops.

Demo RFP/RFQ was created to seek qualified contractors to perform demolition work on the Halsted Plaza.
February 25,2016
Demo Bid Opening commenced at 3:00pm in the Village Board Room. Demo Bids were received from Cordos Construction, Dynamic Wrecking & Excavating, Inc., Bechstein Construction, Alliance Demolition Services, Inc. T.J. Cachey Construction and Tower Contracting, LLC.

Alliance Demolition Services was awarded the Halsted Plaza Demo at the March 15, 2016 Regular Board Meeting. Alliances Demolition Services' bid is not to exceed $217,4900. This bid is to include the demolition of three structures: the former Grocery Store, former Barley & Hops and former Bowling Alley.

Review of the Developer bids for the acquisition of the Village of Glenwood Plaza Property was held at the 4/9/16 Special Board Meeting.
All Three (3) Developers made presentations to the Board of Trustees in Executive Sessions. The Board dismissed Vizions Developers Builders.
May 20, 2016
A Special Board Meeting was held 5/20/16 to interview Mack Companies and T.J. Cachey Builders. The Board conducted interviews in Executive Session to assess qualifications for the project.
June 7, 2016
Mack Industries was selected as the Village's preferred developer for redevelopment of the Village owned Glenwood Halsted Plaza Property. Selection took place at the 6/7/16 Regular Board Meeting.
