Departments

There are many ways in which the Village of Glenwood works to serve the community.  Each of the following departments work together to ensure the best possible service.
 
VILLAGE ADMINISTRATORS OFFICE

Appointed by the President and Board, executes the governing body’s directives and provides background information and analysis for the President and Board to make its decisions. The Village Administrator is responsible for the day-to-day operations of the Village, and all department heads report to the Village Administrator.
Responsible for Village finances.
Responsible for mailing utility bills for water based on consumption to all residents and businesses in the Village.
 
Responsible for overseeing all building and construction in the Village.
 
FIRE DEPARTMENT 
Responsible for fire prevention and firefighting, as well as operating Emergency Medical Services.
POLICE DEPARTMENT
Responsible for all safety and emergency activities in the Village.                            

PUBLIC WORKS DEPARTMENT
Responsible for the major utilities and infrastructure of the Village, including water delivery, stormwater and wastewater dispensation, roads, sidewalks, and forestry.
 
SENIOR DEPARTMENT/PARKS & RECREATION
Glenwood's Senior Department/ ark Programs Department's mission is to provide quality leisure activities by introducing new experiences, and the opportunity to spend leisure time safely and wisely.

Our Animal Control Officer will be happy to help you with issues pertaining to domestic animals only.
